What is AOC in trading?
In Indian options trading, AOC stands for Advance Option Chain, an option chain analysis tool for NSE, BSE, MCX and crypto that turns raw open interest, OI change and volume into support, resistance and reversal levels. Traders use it to see where option writers are positioned without reading every strike by hand.

What does AOC stand for?
AOC is short for Advance Option Chain. Raj Shah, a software developer and options trader, started it in February 2023 because the option chain tools he was using kept giving him levels he could not trust. It runs as AOC Calculator on the web at aoccalculator.in and on Android and iOS, and AOC Academy teaches the method behind it.
Outside trading the same three letters mean many other things, so if you came here from a search about a person, an airline certificate or a tender document, this is not that AOC.
How is AOC different from the NSE option chain?
The NSE option chain gives you the raw table: OI, change in OI, volume, IV and LTP for every strike. You still have to work out which strike is the real support, whether it is holding, and whether it is about to move.
AOC does that part. Every OI, OI change and volume cell shows its percentage of the biggest value on its side, the heaviest strike gets a red (call) or green (put) box, the runner-up gets yellow, and AOC computes the resistance and support from those numbers. When a level moves during the day it is labelled with the time, for example SFT 24600 to 24500 at 11:42, so you can see the shift instead of noticing it late.
What can you do with AOC?
Most traders use it for four jobs. Reading intraday support and resistance on NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, SENSEX and F&O stocks. Is AOC free?

What does O/C mean in trading?
In Indian F&O chat groups O/C is almost always shorthand for option chain, as in "check the NIFTY O/C". On a broker contract note or order book it can also mean open/close, so read it in context.
Does AOC give buy or sell tips?
No. AOC is an analysis tool, not an advisory service. It shows where OI, volume and price sit and how they are changing. The trade, the position size and the stop loss are your call.
